Suzuki Grand Vitara

In 2008, Suzuki Grand Vitara was again revised and assembled with two new engines. One is 2.4L inline four with capability of producing 122 kW of power and 225 nm of torque. Alternatively, V6 engine is only provided for prestige version and has capacity of producing 165 kW of power and 284 nm of torque. In addition, VVT installed in both engines aids in less fuel consumption. Safety measures have also been improved by adding more air-bags and traction control in all models.

In 2005, the Suzuki Grand Vitara was replaced by a new car integrated with the GM Theta platform components in Japan. The 2006 model of Grand Vitara by Suzuki was manufactured by several but same Suzuki engineers who also built Theta. Though components are same but it is quite unique from GM Theta in many respects. Remarkably, its engine has been mounted longitudinally. Also, it is a RWD (rear wheel drive) vehicle having 103.9 inches wheelbase. In contrast, Theta vehicles have transversely assembled engine and these are FWD (front wheel drive) by default. The Suzuki Grand Vitara is extensively available in a 5 door body style. However, you can also get its version with 3 door framework.
